Had a fantastic stay! The breakfast was freshly made and the dinner lamb was delicious. plus, the cozy seating areas in the garden were perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Just a heads-up, the carpets in our room could use a bit of updating, but overall it was a lovely experience, and I'd recommend trying the local trails nearby! 😊

The classic twin room offers a cozy ambiance with charming decor, combined with stunning views of the surrounding hills. The outdoor beer garden provides a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the evening sky.
Noise from upstairs can be quite bothersome, especially during the night, making it difficult to enjoy a good night's sleep. The lack of a fridge in the suite is disappointing, and the toilet cistern refilling slowly can be a nuisance. the awkwardly placed power sockets made using the kettle inconvenient, as it required placing it on the floor. Watching TV from bed was tricky due to the bedpost blocking the screen's view, which could use some thought in its layout.

The cottage provided a delightful country-style ambiance, complete with all necessary amenities. The friendliness of the owners was a pleasant surprise, adding a personal touch. Dining was a highlight with attentive service and exceptional dishes, especially the locally caught fish. the overall experience was somewhat diminished by the lack of heating and inconsistent room temperature, which affected the comfort level during our stay.

Ideal for dog lovers and foodies alike
They allowed my dog to stay with us, which made it so much more enjoyable. Plus the fish and chips were superb, just wish there were mushy peas though.
It wasn’t exactly wallet-friendly, but honestly, it was still acceptable.

The location is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. I appreciated the welcoming staff who were attentive to my dietary needs, making the dining experience enjoyable. The homemade food was delightful, particularly the red pepper and houmous burger. My only concern was the water pressure in the shower, which could use some improvement.

missingWrote a review on 23 Feb
The snug dining area provided a genuinely intimate atmosphere with a log fire and a cozy sofa for after-dinner relaxation, which made for a special evening. The menu featured a range of locally sourced dishes, including a particularly delicious sticky toffee pudding that stood out among the offerings.
Room No. 5 felt cramped and was decorated with dated furniture that showed signs of wear and tear, making it less appealing than expected. The lack of a wardrobe and full-length mirror really limited convenience for a couple staying multiple nights, while the black mould and condensation on the windows reflected some necessary upkeep that couldn't be ignored. It's lovely to have character in an older establishment, but some updates could significantly enhance comfort without losing that charm.
