Stayed in the cottage attached which was beautiful. Staff were fab, breakfast was lovely! Location was amazing! Feather pillows and duvets!!!
The Bin wasn't emptied and as there was only one it was a little annoying.

Overall the hotel was very good, staff attentive.
Rooms at the top of the garden House are very small, and to get to them the stairs become very narrow and the elderly would have difficulty in carrying their cases up

Inn is situated in beautiful countryside , and is quiet and peaceful. There are many interesting places within a 30 mile radius, including Bath,Tiverton.and Cirencester. in the village itself, there are pleasant walks. The atmosphere inside was welcoming and the hostess is exactly as a guesthouse hostess should be.The room we had , room 2 was very nice with a beautiful view and a comfortable bed. There was a flatscreen tv and tea and coffee making facilities, as well as en-suite facilities with fluffy towels, which were changed regularly. There was a good selection at breakfast with both hot and cold breakfasts.Available also are afternoon and cream teas, and lunch and evening menus. The Inn offers good value for money.
We enjoyed our stay, and although children would be welcomed, It is my personal opinion, that some young people would not enjoy staying there as much.

The Amberley inn is a lovely place to stay, staff are very friendly and helpful. The views are amazing our room number 11 overlooked the valley, which was very relxing just to sit and look out of the window at. Breakfasts at the amberley are delicious and huge, you can have cereal, yoghurt and fruit to start and a full english with toast and preserves, with coffee, tea and juice. We didn't eat there in the evening, but im sure the food would have been equally as good as the breakfasts. There is a fine selection of local ales and beers and a good wine list too. Overall this is a wonderful place to stay and a good base to explore the surrounding villages and towns. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this to family or friends and to anyone looking for a nice relax in the countryside.
Nothing to complain about!!

The staff at Amberley Inn were attentive to our dietary needs. I enjoyed a delicious roasted vegetable and hummus burger that was perfectly seasoned. The setting was serene.
Limited plant-based options on the menu.

Welcoming atmosphere. All staff very obliging & friendly- taking lead from very Sally the manager. Fabluous views & great to see cows wandering past under the window.
It is a 2 star inn so shouldn't have expected things like a hairdrier in the room and a power shower... But I did struggle just having a bath!

Very friendly, relaxing, beautiful countryside, lovely food. Will definitely be back.
I found it easy to access as I had a car. Not sure how you would get to it without. I presume a bus might go passed it or an easy taxi ride from the station.

charming stay with room for improvement
The breakfast spread exceeded my expectations, with fresh options available. My Classic Double Room was spacious and well-maintained.
The location, while charming, could be a bit tricky to navigate at night.

Good location. Friendly staff.
On the day we visited the proprietor was away and the hotel, bar and restaurant were full. The staff, though very sweet, were like the 6th form doing work experience - willing but very inexperienced. We were dismayed when we saw our room, a tiny garret in 'the cottage' where you could hear other guests through the floor and the deafening sound of the plumbing system when anyone had a shower. We asked the person left if charge for a change of room but the hotel was packed. They did help us find another place to stay and dealt with our complaints politely and willingly even though they were run off their feet. The management should note: you can't charge £86 a night for a small, very basic room. Even in wedding season when every room in Gloucestershire is taken, it's bad practice.
